Registration Resources
Planning for making an initial application for Registration involves establishing a guidance and support process by a Registered Hospital Play Specialist (HPS) and engaging in observations and reflective discussions. There is value within these discussions to consider the planning and organisation required so that the applicant’s clinical practice portfolio illustrates their professional qualities and practices. Within the resource section guidance sheets, exemplars, templates for PD evidence and HPSRC assessment framework resources are provided.
Maintaining Registration through Section 2.0 requires planning, relevant to an individual’s role, and ongoing professional development. The Professional Development Record and evidence submitted for assessment by the HPSRC must meet the guidelines outlined in the Registration Handbook Appendix E. and be verified by a third person. Exemplars, guidance sheets and evidence templates and the Renewal of Registration assessment framework have been developed to assist NZHPSReg in the planning and documentation required.
