Directory of NZHPSReg. (updated 13 April 2023)
The Hospital Play Specialist Registration Council (HPSRC) is a standing Committee of the Hospital Play Specialist Association of Aotearoa New Zealand (Inc). The purpose of the HPSRC is to provide a Registration programme for the hospital play specialist profession.
Categories of Registration
There are three categories of Registration:
Standards:
Eligibility requirements, and requirements for Registration and renewal of Registration, are established by the Hospital Play Specialist Registration Council (HPSRC) and approved by the Hospital Play Specialists Association of Aotearoa New Zealand (HPSAANZ) Executive. These requirements are reviewed on an ongoing basis and revised as necessary.

Categories of Registration
There are three categories of Registration:
- Full Registration Hospital Play Specialists with Full Registration may put NZHPSReg after their name.
- Subject to Confirmation (STC) for those who have held Full Registration and wish to maintain Registration but are unable to meet the requirements for Full Registration. Hospital Play Specialists Registered STC may put NZHPSReg (STC) after their name.
- Lapsed: Hospital Play Specialists who do not renew their Registration as required by the HPSRC will be considered to have lapsed and will be recorded as such on the HPSRC register and removed from the NZHPSReg Directory on the professional body’s website. They may not put NZHPSReg after their name.

Fitness to Practice
Any complaint made to the Hospital Play Specialist Association of Aotearoa New Zealand Executive or to the Hospital Play Specialist Registration Council (HPSRC) about a breach of the Hospital Play Specialist Assn of Aotearoa New Zealand Code of Ethics or Professional Competencies will be dealt with by the HPSRC promptly and fairly within the process outlined in the interim HPSRC Complaint Policy.

HPSAANZ Policy for Handing Complaints
Complaints about the HPSRC, and any Council members in the course of HPSRC duties, will be directed to the professional body, Hospital Play Specialist Association of Aotearoa/New Zealand, and dealt with as indicated in their Policy for Handling Complaints.
Directory of NZHPSReg Information
The directory contains information on hospital play specialists who hold active Registration. The information provided;
Full name, initial Registration date; unique NZHPSReg number; current status; current renewal date
Lapsed NZHPSReg: Hospital Play Specialist who require information on the process to return to Full Registration status will find details within the Registration Handbook Section 7.0.
