It is the time of year for annual HPSAANZ membership renewals. To continue to be an active member, payment for your membership is now due and all payments should be received by 31st December, 2017. Please see the updated 2017 membership form attached to this notice.
Please note, if you joined the Association after 30th September 2017 your membership will be valid until the end of 2018.
These are exciting times within our Association. We will be finalising our mission statement and values and rebranding our professional identity atthe beginning of 2018. So, to keep up to date with changes, to contribute andhave your voice heard, renewing your membership is vitally important. For theAssociation to continue its valuable work of promoting play in hospital andadvocating for healthcare environments that support the well-being of childrenand young people, we need a strong membership base.
The Association continues to be involved in the Allied HealthForum, Early Education Federation and Early Childhood Advisory Council. Wecontinue to have dialogue with the Ministry of Education on relevant issuesrelating to our service. Members benefit from the sharing of this informationvia email, the Association website and Facebook page. They also have theopportunity to network with colleagues through Facebook and our gmail account,have access to the Association library and are offered reduced conference fees.

|Conference 2018 10 Sep 2017|
The Conference Planning Committee is seeking submissions for presentations to the Hospital Play Specialists Association of Aotearoa/New Zealand (HPSAANZ) conference to be held 12 – 14 April, 2018. Our biennial conference is an opportunity for those working as Hospital Play Specialists and associated professions to participate in educational and networking sessions. Abstracts are invited for 30 minutes, 1.5 hours and posters.
Abstracts must be electronically submitted in the format outlined within the attached document and sent to email@example.com by Friday 3rd November 2017. All submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Programming Committee (including an external advisor) and applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of the closing date. It is expected that by submitting an abstract, applicants are committed to registering for and presenting at the conference. Presenters will be offered the early bird rate for registration and are responsible for all travel, accommodation and presentation costs.

The review of the Registration Booklet is now complete and the 2017 version available here on the website. The next round of registration applications is due in July and applicants will need to follow these new guidelines.
